Plant Physiology
Climate change, scarcity of fresh water, deteriorating water quality, and soil salinity are the major growth limiting factors for agricultural productivity, food security, and the sustainability of natural resources. Salinization contributes to land degradation, desertification and subsequently food insecurity.
Soil & Environmental Science
This division is engaged in goal-oriented research projects aiming at the maximization of crop productivity through innovative techniques, better soil management practices and environmentally safe balanced fertilization.
Plant Protection
The main focus of this division is to promote eco-friendly management with combination of nuclear techniques to manage insect pests and diseases of major crops and fruits.
Technical Services
The Technical Services Division of Nuclear Institute of Agriculture (NIA), Tandojam is providing all the technical services regarding corrective and preventive maintenance of electronic equipments in all the four Scientific Divisions. This Division performs both routine and random repair and maintenance work such as Electrical, Civil, Wood work, Plumbing work, Air-conditioning system, IT Internet services and Statistical data analysis.
